TNS Acquired Compete.com
March 4, 2008Taylor Nelson Sofres (TNS), the company headquartered in London, with 14,000 employees in more than 70 countries and global sales of about $2 billion, has acquired Compete.com for alleged amount of $75 mln.
About year ago Hitwise, another web analytics company, was acquired for US$240m in cash by consumer data giant Experian.
TNS describes its approach in a trademarked phrase, “The Sixth Sense of Business”. It was probably sixth sense of TNS tipped the company management to make acquisition at bargain price.
